Meet Krista McConomy, Taproom & Events Manager at Bent Water Brewing.
Q: How long have you been with Bent Water Brewing?
A: I have been with Bent Water since June2021
Q: What are your primary responsibilities at Bent Water?
A: I’m in charge of running the taproom, booking entertainment, and helping to schedule and oversee many of our events. Right now I’m working on a taproom makeover and solidifying plans for our popular Beach and North Shore Beef events!
Q: What brought you to the brewing industry?
A: I’ve been in hospitality since I was 18 years old, and have pretty much had a position in every aspect of the industry! This specific opportunity surfaced during what was a shakeup for a lot of people due to the pandemic. I was a catering manager and as you can imagine
that industry was hit pretty hard. But thankfully there was an opportunity to take what I’d learned and apply it to Bent Water, which has been a great fit.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your role?
A: It’s absolutely the culture! Craft beer is such a fun, engaging industry to work in, and the people I work with every day are amazing.
Q: What’s one of your favorite activities to do outside of work, and why?
A: I love to cook and bake! On my days off, you can always find me meal planning and baking.
