How to Drink Beer in a Rainforest (or New England in the Spring)

Though the sun is peeking out today, the next couple days look similar to what we’ve seen the last few weeks — a lot of rain. At this point, it feels less like spring and more like we’re living inside a terrarium. But soggy socks and gray skies don’t mean you have to stop enjoying great beer. You just need to get a little creative.

Here are a few of our favorite ways to enjoy a Bent Water brew during this monsoon we’re calling spring:

• The Shower Sluice – Add a little tropical to your torrential. Sluice Juice makes a great shower beer. Sip it while standing in the rain and it’ll transport you to thoughts of a warmer place.

• The Porch Pilsner – Bonus points if you’ve got a tin roof and can hear the raindrops while sipping a Bent Water Pilsner.

• The Window Watcher Lager – One Premium Lager. One chair. One dramatic stare into the distance. You’re the main character now.

• The Blanket Burrito + Thunder Funk – Because nothing warms the soul like hops and a good couch cocoon.

• The “It’s Not That Bad” Backyard Hang – Invite friends, fill the cooler, throw on a hoodie, and make the best of it. At least the beer’s cold.
